    Center Scott Wells‘ first year as a member of the Rams was filled with injuries and he’s starting the offseason recovering from knee surgery. Jim Thomas of the St. Wells is signed for a bit more than $1.1 million in 2013, the final year on his contract, so money won’t be the thing that forces Wells out of Arizona. Wells, a Pro Bowler a year ago as a Green Bay Packer, played through the pain in starting the Rams’ final six games of the regular season. Louis Post-Dispatch reports that Wells had an arthroscopic procedure to repair torn cartilage in his right knee recently. But I was able to push through the knee at the end and the foot’s fine. He’s looking forward to a chance to show Bruce Arians and the rest of the new Cardinals coaches what he can do on the ice.
