McKnight did not practice for the Jets Monday after apparently suffering a concussion. Rich Cimini of ESPNNewYork.com reports that the latest problem is an apparent concussion for Joe McKnight that kept him out of practice on Monday. McKnight was pulled over shortly after 11 a.m. Having heard that McKnight was arrested, it’s at least encouraging that the reality is that this was not as serious as it could have been. However, with McKnight already behind the 8-ball in terms of making a roster spot and the Jets organization desperately trying to rid itself of a “circus” tag bestowed upon it by the media, this was the last thing anyone needed to see. The Jets running back was expected to be part of a group of four players competing for snaps in the backfield this summer, but he’s been the only one who has been able to practice every day of training camp. Patrolman David Littman checked the license plate and discovered an outstanding warrant for blowing off a $200 fine for failing to produce and insurance card in the town of Summit.
