    Berra is scheduled to make his Avalanche debut on Wednesday at Winnipeg. DENVER - The Colorado Avalanche have reached three-year deals with centre John Mitchell and goalie Reto Berra. Mitchell signed a $5.4 extension, and Reto inked a $4.35 million deal, the Avalanche said Friday. Colorado acquired the 27-year-old Berra from Calgary on March 5 for a second-round draft pick. Mitchell, 29, signed a free-agent deal with Colorado in July 2012. "John is a proven NHL player who has been a very good addition to our team the past two seasons," executive vice president of hockey operations Joe Sakic said in a statement.
