• Bears overcome injuries, early issues with 28-10 win over Vikings

    Summary of 10 articles · Updated Nov 27, 2012
The Vikings lost to the Chicago Bears 28-10 on Sunday and fell to 6-5 this season. The Bears convincingly snapped a two-game losing streak and took over first place in the NFC North by night’s end with a 28-10 victory over the Minnesota Vikings at Soldier Field. The team got back QB Jay Cutler in the 28-10 win, but lost three starters in the process to injury – RB Matt Forte, WR Devin Hester and CB Charles Tillman. While Sunday’s game vs the Vikings at home was a solid win for the now 8-3 Bears, the victory came with a serious price tag attached to it. The pass interference penalty set up a 1-yard touchdown run by Michael Bush, and the 14-play scoring drive gave the Bears some breathing room and sucked the life out of the Vikings sideline. Louis’ injury on a blindside hit by Jared Allen as Antoine Winfield returned an interception forced Chicago to go with Gabe Carimi, who lost the right tackle job to Jonathan Scott.
