• Blackout lifted for Chargers-Giants game

    It was the first blackout in the NFL this year. It was going to take help for the Chargers to avoid a blackout this weekend. The Chargers seem to have averted a second straight blackout for Sunday’s game against the New York Giants. Those people are hanging on word of the blackout so they don’t have to hunt down an Internet site to watch the game or drive to Orange County. This is a great city. It’s not Buffalo in December. But what I’m really tired of hearing, especially from those in the media who don’t pay a dime for a ticket, is that San Diego is a weak market for not being able to sell out games, or that we somehow lack the passion that other cities have.
