    Kidd-Gilchrist has been a big part of the Bobcats' progression at the defensive end. Charlotte guard Michael Kidd-Gilchrist fractured his left hand in a loss to Dallas and coach Steve Clifford isn't sure when the second-year player will be back. In the third quarter of the Charlotte Bobcats 89-82 road loss to the Dallas Mavericks, second-year wing Michael Kidd-Gilchrist, the No. 2 pick in the 2012 draft, suffered a broken left hand. The official announcement: Strangely enough, Kidd-Gilchrist's former college teammate and friend Anthony Davis, who was picked No. 1 last year, suffered a non-displaced fracture of the fifth metacarpal in his left hand. He was replaced with 4:35 remaining in the third quarter of the Mavericks' 89-82 win over the Bobcats. X-rays taken revealed a left hand fracture. While that's no sign of greatness, it's meaningful progress for a franchise that finished with the worst winning percentage in NBA history in 2011-12 and the second-worst record in the league in 2012-13.
