But as the Browns open their offseason workouts, Weeden looks like the No. 1 quarterback by default. But at the moment, the No. 1 job is Weeden’s. As the Cleveland Browns enter their off-season work, Brandon Weeden, a first-round pick a year ago, figures to retain the starting quarterback spot in 2013. When the Browns hired Mike Lombardi as general manager and Rob Chudzinski as head coach, there was a lot of talk that they weren’t enamored with the starting quarterback they inherited, Brandon Weeden. Lombardi, Chudzinski and the rest of the Browns’ decision makers reportedly don’t think any of the quarterbacks in this year’s draft is worthy of their No. 6 overall pick, and so it appears that they won’t take a quarterback in the first round of the draft. That leaves Colt McCoy likely on the outside looking in and perhaps looking for a new team eventually as well.
