The Atlanta Braves have extended general manager Frank Wren's contract through 2014 and promoted two other officials. The Braves have extended executive vice president and general manager Frank Wren's contract though the end of the 2014 season and enhanced the titles of two of his top aides. As Manno prepares for his sixth season with the Braves, he will continue to serve as Wren's right-hand man while overseeing the developmental system. Along with locking up Wren for at least two more seasons, the Braves announced that assistant general manager and director of player development Bruce Manno has been awarded the title of vice president and assistant general manager/player development. The Braves also announced that four senior members of their business department have been given elevated titles. The club has reached the postseason in two of the past three years, and the Phillies are the only NL club with more wins since the start of the 2009 season.
