Brian Waters Brian Waters came out of retirement for this? It doesn’t appear that Waters will have a chance to be his best at the end of this season. Waters had an MRI on his injured triceps Monday, and the Cowboys were holding out hope they wouldn’t be without Waters for several weeks. If the Cowboys don’t put Waters on the season-ending injured reserve list today, that will paint a clearer picture that they and Waters are holding out hope that the 36-year-old six-time Pro Bowler can play again this season at some point. A triceps injury will likley force Brian Waters to the sidelines for the remainder of the season and possibly his career. Whether that’s a ligitament option for Waters will become clearer later Tuesday, when the Cowboys have to make a roster move to open up a spot to sign free agent defensive end Everette Brown. Five days before receiving the news, the offensive lineman sat at his Valley Ranch locker and spoke of how glad he was that he came out of retirement to play for the Cowboys.
