Running back Jacob Hester has been released by the Broncos. The Broncos today released RB Jacob Hester and claimed second year LB Adrian Robinson off waivers from the Eagles. Thanks for all your hard work for the Broncos and best wishes in your NFL career, Jacob! Because he’s a vested veteran, Hester instantly becomes a free agent. In other news, the Broncos signed seven players to their practice squad, including six that were cut from the team Saturday. He was more of a fullback for the Broncos, but with three high-end receivers and plenty of good tight ends, there was no need to keep him around. Wide receiver Tavarres King and offensive lineman Vinston Painter, who were drafted in the fifth and sixth rounds this year, respectively, cleared waivers, along with offensive linemen Paul Cornick and Ben Garland, wide receiver Gerell Robinson and defensive end John Youboty.
