    Newly acquired point guard Jose Calderon is in the starting lineup for his Detroit Pistons debut against the New York Knicks. Jose Calderon has been cleared to play for the Detroit Pistons. Detroit acquired Calderon from Toronto as part of a three-team trade last Wednesday that included the Pistons trading Tayshaun Prince to Memphis and the Grizzlies dealing Rudy Gray to the Raptors. Calderon was cleared to play earlier Monday and is in the lineup alongside Brandon Knight in the backcourt. When Chandler was interviewed following his record-tying performance in the 99-85 victory over the Detroit Pistons at the Garden, he was wearing a Baltimore Ravens cap, his penance for losing a friendly Super Bowl bet to Carmelo Anthony. “This is it,” Chandler said. “Whenever you are mentioned in the same breath with him it is a tall task,” said Chandler, the California native and San Francisco 49ers fan.
