Pro Bowl linebacker Jon Beason said he expects to remain in the middle when the Panthers face Dallas on Oct. 21 after the bye week. Beason missed the loss to the Seahawks with shoulder and knee injuries, but said that he expects to return to the lineup when the Panthers face the Cowboys after their bye. Beason was the veteran and it only made sense to let him run the defense. Beason said in no uncertain terms he wanted to stay in the middle, adding the coaching staff indicated he would.
