Kyrie Irving, the MVP of last year's Rising Stars Challenge, will return to the game featuring top rookies and second-year players. The Rising Stars Challenge, formerly known as the Rookie Challenge or rookie-sophomore game, will be headlined by 2012 Rookie of the Year Kyrie Irving, who was also selected to play in Sunday’s All-Star Game, as well as 2012 No. 1 pick Anthony Davis and the early favorite for 2013 Rookie of the Year, Damian Lillard. The rosters will be set on Feb. 7 and a fan voting process on computers and mobile devices will determine which players get to start. Rookie stars Damian Lillard of Portland and Anthony Davis of New Orleans, the No. 1 pick in the draft, also were selected. The remainder of the roster is: Harrison Barnes and Klay Thompson ; Kemba Walker and Michael Kidd-Gilchrist ; Brandon Knight and Andre Drummond ; Bradley Beal ; Kenneth Faried ; Kawhi Leonard ; Chandler Parsons ; Alexey Shved ; and Nikola Vucevic .
