Miami Dolphins CEO Mike Dee announced Wednesday he was leaving the team to become the president and CEO of Major League Baseball's San Diego Padres. Dee previously was the CEO of the Miami Dolphins and Sun Life Stadium, a position he took in 2009. According to Armando Salguero of the Miami Herald, Dolphins CEO Mike Dee is leaving the team, announcing that he’s taking the same job with baseball’s San Diego Padres. The Padres general manager will answer to Dee. On Wednesday, the Padres named Dee their team president and chief executive officer. While Dee might have done some good things there, he also presided over a failed attempt to secure public funding for upgrades to Sun Life Stadium, a failure that could knock Miami out of the Super Bowl rotation until that changes. He became the Red Sox's chief operating officer in 2004 and held the position until he left to join the Dolphins in 2009.
