    Frank Reich, who is expected to join the Chargers as their quarterbacks coach, was Manning’s position coach with the Colts in 2009-10. Reich and the Chargers' starting quarterback he inherited, Philip Rivers, are looking to rally in 2013. Reich, 51, was a receivers coach for coaching staffs that were dismissed at the end of the last two seasons, in large part because the teams' offenses were among the NFL’s worst. It might also spark Rivers’ recently dormant ability to lead come-from-behind situations, something Reich knows a little about since he led the biggest comeback in playoff history for the Bills against the Oilers in the 20 years ago. The Chargers’ new head coach is former Denver offensive coordinator Mike McCoy. The Chargers know that if they’re going to have to improve, they’re going to have to get Philip Rivers back on track. But the Colts , plagued by erratic quarterbacking, ended 29th in scoring, passing touchdowns and yards per play.
