Members of Cleveland Mayor Frank Jackson’s administration and representatives from the Cleveland Browns are meeting with City Council members in small groups today to update them on the proposed $120 million improvements to FirstEnergy Stadium. The Cleveland Browns have initiated and developed a two-year FirstEnergy Stadium modernization project, proposed for completion during the next two offseasons, the team announced Wednesday. Commission member Norman Krumholz, however, voted no on the approval, arguing that the city has been paying for the stadium’s upkeep for years with no indication that the Browns would ever chip in. “Until I see that someone else is picking up the tab, I will oppose this and encourage my colleagues to do the same,” he said.
