• Club picks up Heat's $100K champagne bill

    The company paid to be the official champagne of the Heat's playoff run. According to ESPN.com's Darren Rovell, the team only managed to ring up a paltry $100,000 in champagne cost. Not only was its Dom Perignon brand being imbibed by the Heat party at the club, but its Moët Ice Imperial champagne was being spritzed in the locker room on television. That wasn't free though. David Grutman, who owns Story Nightclub, where most of the players partied this year, and LIV, where they celebrated last year, said the players ordered 100 bottles of Dom Perignon and three 3-liter bottles of champagne. The only real question was whether the victors would top the $200,000 bar tab they rolled up at LIV in June 2012 after beating the Oklahoma City Thunder for their first NBA championship. The answer, it seems, is no.
