    The bigger issue for the Cowboys might be that Ratliff’s starting off this year the way he spent all of 2012. Though Cowboys defensive tackle Jay Ratliff sustained a hamstring injury at the outset of training camp, club director of player personnel Stephen Jones indicated Ratliff’s health is not a major worry, the club’s website reported Sunday. They might not have any deep fears, but they sent Ratliff for an MRI anyway. Ratliff had season-ending surgery to repair a sports hernia last December while Bernadeau, who did not participate in drills during organized team activities and the veteran minicamp, underwent an off-season operation on his right shoulder. Guard Mackenzy Bernadeau also was placed on the active/PUP list with a hamstring injury. Can he do the same thing that he did today tomorrow? Should we scale him back? Should we push him forward? So we’ll have those day-to-day conversations and try to keep guys in the best shape possible as they come back from a variety of injuries.”
