    This is why, according to Fred Kerber of the New York Post, Stern sat down New York Knicks owner James Dolan and Brooklyn Nets owner Mikhail Prokhorov in order establish a more tactful line of dialogue between two of the league’s most infamous owners. But they haven’t been playing nice in the press, and NBA commissioner David Stern has taken steps to squash any festering animosity between the team’s owners. Spokespersons both for Prokhorov and for the Knicks said “no comment” regarding the meeting. Dolan called the league office to complain about the 22-story billboard, like he had done earlier when Prokhorov called him a “little man” in a New York Magazine profile .
