    Forward Landon Ferraro signed a one-year contract with the Detroit Red Wings, the team announced Friday. Ferraro, a 2009 second-round pick of the Red Wings made his NHL debut last season. Ferraro is the son of former NHL player and current TSN broadcaster Ray Ferraro. “I think, by everybody’s account, Landon’s included, I think last year was a disappointing season for him," Red Wings assistant general manager Ryan Martin told the Free Press. He ended up playing four games with Detroit, averaging 8:58 of ice time. He also played 70 games with the team's minor league affiliate in Grand Rapids, scoring 15 goals with 16 assists.
