    NEW ORLEANS – When Drew Brees signed his $100 million contract last summer, he became the highest-paid player in NFL history. Brees racked up a $2,000 bill that he wasn’t able to pay until he got his rookie signing bonus. He was sent to a collection agency and it busted his credit to the point where his interest rate for the house he was about to buy in San Diego after he being drafted by the Chargers was much higher than he anticipated.
