The Dolphins got a win over the Seahawks at home on Sunday afternoon and safety Jonathon Amaya went out until the wee hours of the morning celebrating the win. The Associated Press reports Dolphins safety Jonathon Amaya was arrested and charged with battery after allegedly choking a cab driver. There’s not much to celebrate about the way the night ended for Amaya, however. NBC Miami reports that Amaya was arrested on charges of battery of a taxi driver after being picked up outside a club around 4:30 a.m. According to the police report, Amaya promised the driver a $100 tip to take him to an area that the driver normally didn’t go. It’s been pretty quiet off the field for the Miami Dolphins during the regular season. He played 16 games for the Saints last season after starting his career with the Dolphins as an undrafted free agent in 2010.
