• Double Coverage: Bills at Saints

    Summary of 38 articles · Updated Oct 28, 2013
The Saints’ passing game was just too much for the Bills on Sunday. At some point, they need to win a game like that against the Saints. The Bills had things going in the first half. Clearly the Bills, who entered Sunday third in the NFL in sacks, got to Brees and the Saints early with their pressure. With the Bills concentrating their coverages on Marques Colston and Jimmy Graham, Stills found himself in a lot of single coverage and Brees made the Bills pay. Brees was, well, Brees. New Orleans Saints running back Khiry Robinson leaps over New England Patriots defensive back Duron Harmon on a third-quarter run during the game between the New Orleans Saints and New England Patriots at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Mass. on Sunday, October 13, 2013. Here is a breakdown of the snaps, with my thoughts below: Quarterback Drew Brees 70 Tight end Benjamin Watson 46, Josh Hill 24, Jimmy Graham 18 Receiver Marques Colston 44, Kenny Stills 39, Robert Meachem 29, Lance Moore 27, Nick Toon 17 Running back Pierre Thomas 45, Darren Sproles 16, Khiry Robinson 13 Fullback Jed Collins 32 Offensive tackle Zach Strief 70, Charles Brown 70 Guard Ben Grubbs 70, Jahri Evans 64, Tim Lelito Center Brian De La Puente 70 Jahri Evans sat out the final six snaps of the game. I’m not sure why.
