The Philadelphia Eagles have signed defensive end/linebacker Chris McCoy to a three-year contract and released tackle Demetress Bell. And now the bell has tolled for Demetress. Last year, after Eagles left tackle Jason Peters suffered a ruptured Achilles tendon, the “break glass in case of emergency option” was Demetress Bell. Bell's release did not come as a surprise. Bell was signed away from Buffalo last year to replace injured left tackle Jason Peters, but he lost his starting job in training camp. The Eagles announced on Wednesday that the former Bills starter has been released. It’s no surprise. "I know a lot of people, and I get a lot of inquiries all the time, and there's no way I'm going to comment on any particular one because if I did I wouldn't be able to do my job," Grantham told reporters in Georgia after the Bulldogs announced their recruiting class.
