Foles missed last week’s game with a concussion, but he was cleared to practice on Tuesday. Eagles quarterback Nick Foles completed the NFL's concussion protocol and was cleared to practice Tuesday. CAN NICK FOLES end the "quarterback instability" Chip Kelly says he feels has stymied the Eagles' offense lately? "That's why I'm here," Foles said yesterday, after Kelly announced Foles will start this Sunday at Oakland. Eagles general manager Howie Roseman said on his 94WIP radio show Monday that he wanted to see Foles get another chance because that afternoon was so different from any of his previous seven NFL starts, or any game Foles ever played in college at Arizona. Head coach Chip Kelly confirmed the news Wednesday morning at his press conference, after Foles sat out last week with a concussion. The Eagles have had their starting quarterback leave the game due to injury in three of the past four games. It would have been easier for fans to move past it if the second-year quarterback had been covering up an injury, or had accidentally ingested an hallucinogen in his sports-science smoothie that morning, or maybe if Jerry Jones had kidnapped Foles' dog and forced him to play horribly in order to get it back, like that TV show where Toni Collette is supposed to have to try to kill the president.
