• Emmanuel Sanders questionable with knee injury

    Summary of 13 articles · Updated Dec 27, 2013
Emmanuel Sanders made big catches against the Browns last month. Wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders practiced Friday and will be a game-time decision Sunday in what could be his final contest with the Steelers. Sanders said he will play Sunday if he can’t make the injury any worse. Sanders, who has 65 catches for 714 yards this season, was deemed questionable for Sunday’s game by coach Mike Tomlin and said on Tuesday that it’s a positive that there are still a few days before they face the Browns. Sanders will be an unrestricted free agent after this season, and what makes his future hard to predict is that a case can be made for the Steelers either to re-sign him or to let him walk. The only player who has been ruled out is reserve linebacker Terence Garvin, who injured a knee last week. His injuries and the absence of Jones – he had been scratched after getting sick the night before the game – led the Steelers to start Chris Carter at outside linebacker and play Stevenson Sylvester extensively at left outside linebacker.
