    The Giants began filling out their eight-man practice squad today. Practice squad players are simply that – practice players. Seven of the players who failed to survive Saturday's final roster cut-down were named Sunday to the New York Giants ' practice squad. The team brought back seven players they waived on Saturday, offering those players the chance to build on the work they did with the Giants over the summer while giving the Giants players experienced in their schemes to build up in hopes of getting contributions in the future. They are not part of the team’s roster and are eligible to be signed to another team’s 53-man roster at any time.
