SAN FRANCISCO The San Francisco Giants have acquired left-hander David Huff from the Yankees for cash, two days after he was designated for assignment by New York to make room for Japanese ace Masahiro Tanaka. The 29-year-old Huff was 3-1 with a 5.50 ERA for Cleveland and New York last year in 14 appearances, making two starts. The Yankees acquired him off waivers from Cleveland last May. He is 21-27 with a 5.32 ERA in 69 games, 54 starts, in parts of five big league seasons. All rights reserved.
