    Hamels didn't need much run support. Hamels has won much bigger games than the one he won on Saturday, milestone or not. Hamels, the 2008 World Series MVP, was stuck on 99 wins since last Sept. 14. He improved to 9-0 against the Reds, including the postseason. Brown followed with a two-run shot into the second deck in right field. They had extended their scoreless streak to 23 consecutive innings in the third inning their longest drought since a 30-inning scoreless streak in May 2010 when they finally got the big hits manager Ryne Sandberg said they needed in the fourth inning.
