    The Indians have signed free agent outfielder David Murphy to a two-year contract with a club option for 2016. Murphy was drafted by Boston in 2003 and traded to Texas in 2007. The signing was initially reported by Texas sportswriter Jamie Kelly, who was told by one of her followers on Twitter that Murphy's daughter spilled the beans at daycare. Cleveland entered this offseason with the rotation and bullpen as main areas of need, but right field was also a spot that could benefit from an upgrade.
