Seattle Seahawks guard James Carpenter has yet to be cleared to return to practice nearly three weeks after being with a concussion. Offensive lineman James Carpenter had not yet been cleared to resume practicing after suffering what was diagnosed as a concussion more than two weeks ago. Carroll was asked if he was optimistic Carpenter would be cleared to resume playing. Carpenter had not been cleared to return when the Seahawks reconvened following their bye week for a practice on Monday. Asked whether Carpenter would start this week's game or if John Moffitt would continue to play there, Carroll said, "We'll see." The illness turned out to be concussion symptoms. He’s had a lot of time to break and we just want to make sure we get everything squared away, and we’ll see what happens,” Carroll said.
