• Jerry Jones wants Murray healthy for long haul

    Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said Tuesday that they want to be cautious and not put Murray back on the field until he’s ready to go. Murray has appeared in just five games for the Cowboys this season. DeMarco Murray, Felix Jones and Miles Austin were the players that Jones specifically mentioned. Cowboys coach Jason Garrett said Wednesday that Murray, who was not expected to practice Wednesday, still hadn’t passed all of the thresholds needed for him to return. But having said that Felix Jones has been a good runner for us as well. The 24-year-old running back says he continues to progress in his rehabilitation but doesn’t want to return too quickly and suffer further injury that could put him out for the remainder of the season.
