• Jets should take QB in the second round

    The Jets had most glaring needs at OLB, TE, OG and the QB position, but with the composition of the class it was hard to see a situation where the Jets would use either of their first round picks on a QB and get any value there. Extra point Did the Jets make the right pick? The Jets might have been high on Tavon Austin or Barkevious Mingo in the first round, but those picks leading into the Jets went about as bad as it could have gone for the team. New York’s cap is too tight for the Jets to take that kind of hit. Now on Day Three of the NFL Draft, where have the Jets been so far and where are they going? Some quick thoughts below. Releasing Sanchez is another option , although chances are slim because it would cost the Jets a $12.35 million cap hit this year and a $4.8 million cap hit next year. Five and Counting for a Four I wasn’t in love with the idea of giving up the fourth instead of the fifth for Ivory, some will argue it’s Idzik blinking first again, but for the running backs that are left he’s the perfect NFL tested complement and he’s proven he can run the ball when opponents know its coming.
