    The Jets have signed free agent RB/FB Lex Hilliard, the team announced. As we tweeted during Tuesday’s edition of Pro Football Talk on NBC Sports Network, the Jets have added running back Lex Hilliard. Hilliard was most recently with the Patriots, but only saw action on nine snaps. The arrival of Hilliard, a third-down specialist who signed with the Vikings, could mean that the Jets will have Joe McKnight spend even more time at cornerback. And Sparano is now the offensive coordinator of the Jets. However, maybe Sparano is planning to run more three back sets and put two backs in the backfield on passing downs rather than relying on their tight ends to pass block.
