The Texans could have used Wood against the Chiefs. The Texans still started just one possession in Kansas City territory while the Chiefs started two on Houston’s side of the field. Unfortunately for the Texans, he couldn’t march them downfield in the final minute to a potential game-winning field goal, but he showed enough that he should get the start when the Texans host Indianapolis in two weeks. The Chiefs won the fourth quarter of a tight game yet again, breaking through to sack Houston quarterback Case Keenum four times and making him fumble in the final two minutes to kill Houston’s final possession. It also will be the reason they will go deep into this postseason. This Kansas City squad a team currently on its way to winning 13 or 14 regular-season games is starting to bear a striking resemblance to Super Bowl winners that thrived with limited offenses and suffocating defenses.
