    Despite being the all-time leader in saves and being in his 19th and final Major League season, Mariano Rivera occasionally still needs to take a look at his mechanics. "It's a profession, you know what you're doing," said Rivera, who has 35 saves this season. But Rivera said this happens from time to time. Unfortunately for Rivera and the Yankees, that's cost him three consecutive save opportunities. So Rivera did some extra work to hammer out his release-point issue. He preserved the tie by striking out Casper Wells, then came back and threw a scoreless tenth inning, the first time he’d worked two full innings since June 16, 2011 against the Rangers; alas, the Yankees lost in 12 innings.
