• Mariners' Opening Night features new faces

    Was it really that long ago when the Mariners ruled the city? Well, yes it was. The Seahawks were honored by the Mariners during Opening Day festivities today, with quarterback Russell Wilson throwing out the first pitch. The Seattle Mariners have honored their Super Bowl champion neighbors from across the street. Tight end Zach Miller was also part of a Seahawk contingent at Opening Day that also included Malcolm Smith and Jermaine Kearse, among others. As he did last year, Wilson will lead a group of offensive players who will workout in California prior to the team beginning its conditioning program at the VMAC April 21, sessions that later got a lot of credit for laying the groundwork for the team’s eventual run to the Super Bowl.
