Dirk Nowitzki has passed Jerry West for 16th place on the NBA's all-time scoring list. "It's very significant," Dallas coach Rick Carlisle said before the game of Nowitzki's climb up the all-time scoring list. Nowitzki, 35, a 16-year veteran who has spent his entire career with the Mavs, should soon pass Reggie Miller as the 15th leading scorer in NBA history. Reggie Miller is 15th on the scoring list with 25,279 points. West scored 25,192 points during his Hall of Fame career, all 14 seasons of which he spent with the Los Angeles Lakers. The 11-time All-Star and 2007 Most Valuable Player was struggling from the field before a loose ball bounced to him above the key.
