• McDaniels And Schwartz Two Names Possible To Replace Chud

    Summary of 17 articles · Updated Dec 31, 2013
Those would be Josh McDaniels and Lions coach Jim Schwartz. For now rumors are Chud wants to meet with the Browns as soon as possible but there’s no word or not if that will happen or if he will have to wait for a Monday morning meeting. Jim Schwartz got the Lions to a certain point, but like his players often this season, Schwartz was not able to close the deal. If Schwartz was right, the two would end up being legends in Detroit together. Schwartz felt he found his guy in Matthew Stafford , the Georgia product from the same high school as Layne, the guy who could make every throw in any offense and has projected to be an NFL quarterback since he was a high schooler in Texas. Lions president Tom Lewand and general manager Martin Mayhew said all the right things Monday when they described what they are looking for in the next head coach, because someone who can make the players believe they can get over the hump will help.
