It was thought all along that it was McDaniels job to lose. McDaniels was said to be impressed with the Browns, especially team owner Jimmy Haslam. McDaniels enjoys his current job of working with Patriots quarterback Tom Brady and head coach Bill Belichick too much to leave New England at this time, according to the source. But while we don’t know if the Browns are close to making a hire, we do know who won’t be their next head coach.
