    As the Astros prepare to honor longtime announcer Milo Hamilton, whose Oct. Hamilton, 85, missed the Astros’ recent homestand with an undisclosed illness and will be unable to make a scheduled trip to St. 16 tribute gala at Minute Maid Park will include an appearance by Hall of Famer Hank Aaron, Hamilton said Monday he’s recovering from a recent illness and hopes to be back behind the microphone for this weekend’s final homestand. Hamilton said he kept track of the Astros’ progress as he recuperated at home and said he was encouraged by their three wins in a four-game series against the Phillies. Louis, where he began his major league broadcasting career in 1953, but continued to do his morning radio spots on KTRH and plans to be on hand for games this weekend and next week against the Pirates and Cardinals.
