Claiborne hurt his knee Aug. 6 and has not practiced since. “I haven’t ran on it since I hurt it,” Claiborne said. “I don’t want to say I need a whole month or something like that,” Claiborne said when asked how much time he needed to be ready for the Sept. Claiborne, who believes he will be ready to play by the time the season starts, says he is eager to return to the field but doesn’t want to aggravate what appears to be a mild injury at this point. But the second-year cornerback is hopeful he can begin doing some limited work early this week as he continues his recovery from the left knee injury he suffered Aug. 6.
