Just 10 days after being optioned to Triple-A Omaha, Moustakas was recalled before Sunday's game against the Blue Jays. He was injured two days after Moustakas was demoted and has been able to play only sparingly since. In 40 games this season, Moustakas was hitting .152 with a .543 OPS. His stint was Triple-A Omaha seemed to energize him, as he returns to Kansas City after hitting .355 with a home run and five RBIs in eight games with the Storm Chasers. The Royals also recalled left-handed reliever Francisley Bueno from Omaha and optioned right-handed starter Aaron Brooks to the Pacific Coast League club. The extended Collins appearance was made necessary because Brooks, called up to start in Yordano Ventura's place, didn't make it through the first against the Blue Jays in what became a 12-2 pounding.
