New York Jets defensive end Muhammad Wilkerson , snubbed by the Pro Bowl, was named to the second team on the Associated Press All-Pro team, which was announced Friday. Wilkerson was listed as a defensive tackle. Not surprisingly, Wilkerson was the only player on the Jets to make the first or second team. Wilkerson is an end in the Jets' 3-4 scheme, meaning he often lines up as an interior lineman. Schematically, there's a big difference. A pure defensive end meaning in a 4-3 scheme is afforded better pass-rushing opportunities and can rack up a bigger sack total.
