Three Nationals players Stephen Strasburg, Adam LaRoche and Bryce Harper went under the knife recently. His surgery was done in Los Angeles, and Strasburg is expected to be ready in time for spring training. Strasburg, who had Tommy John surgery on his elbow three years ago, missed most of the 2011 season recovering from it. That’s three pretty important members of the Washington Nationals roster, and that’s not exactly news you wanted to wake up to if you’re a Nationals fan. Harper first injured the knee when he collided with the outfield at Dodger Stadium in May. LaRoche underwent successful surgery Wednesday to remove loose bodies from his left elbow. He'll also be sidelined for 4-to-6 weeks and will definitely be ready to improve on his 274/.368/.486 slash line, as well the 20 home runs and 58 RBIs, in 2014.
