Brooklyn Nets point guard Deron Williams missed his first game of the season on Wednesday night against the Milwaukee Bucks because of a bruised right wrist, the team announced. He had revealed to reporters in late November he was playing through a sprained right wrist, among other minor injuries. The Nets were also without power forward Kris Humphries, who missed his second straight game because of a strained abdominal muscle. Backup point guard C.J. Watson started for Williams. Rookie point guard Tyshawn Taylor could see minutes behind Watson, while shooting guard Joe Johnson and forward Gerald Wallace may also help with ball-handling duties.
