The Nets are 1-2 since Pierce’s injury. Deron Williams and Paul Pierce returned to the Brooklyn Nets on Tuesday night against Boston, with Pierce coming off the bench against his former team after a quick return from a broken right hand. It will be Pierce’s first game against Boston after playing 15 seasons for the Celtics. "I just told him come to me when you think it's close, and he told he was going to practice on Monday, and so when I had 13 guys at practice on Monday, probably the last time was in training camp, it was good," Nets coach Jason Kidd said. "If its something thats best for the team and help us win ballgames, if I gotta come off the bench, if I gotta not play, if I gotta be a cheerleader on the sideline, if its going to help us win. Im willing to do that."
