    Adam Jones hit a two-run homer off Mariano Rivera in the ninth inning and the Baltimore Orioles beat the Yankees 2-1 on Sunday, ending New York's longest winning streak of the season at six games. Baltimore was shut out for eight innings by Hiroki Kuroda and the Yankees bullpen on Sunday, but Nick Markakis notched a one-out single off Mariano Rivera and Adam Jones drilled a go-ahead two-run homer to lift the Orioles to a 2-1 victory. Jones, who entered the game-turning at-bat 0-for-3 on the afternoon, made quick work of Rivera. The Yankees, despite the loss, peppered Baltimore starter Jason Hammel in the early innings. Muh-muh-muh-muh-muh, my Kuroda: Pitching three-hit ball over seven innings, Hiroki Kuroda was strong in his return to the rotation after being skipped two days because of a strained hip flexor.
