ESPN.com is reporting that the Rockets have declined to match the offer sheet Chandler Parsons signed with the Mavs worth $46 million over three years. Parsons told Yahoo! Sports that it bothered him that Houston, which declined their right to match the Dallas Mavericks' offer to allow Parsons to go to the Rockets' Interstate 45 rivals, made it clear the franchise didn't consider Parsons good enough to be the third-best player on a championship contender. Parsons will be in the Dallas frontcourt with Dirk Nowitzki after playing his first three NBA seasons with the Rockets. "Honestly, I was offended by the whole process," Parsons told Yahoo! Sports on Monday. Sources told ESPN.com's Marc Stein that the teams have already begun to engage in sign-and-trade talks that could potentially create a trade exception for Houston, but Parsons is going to Dallas either way. The Rockets instead were left to engage in a sign-and-trade with Washington, and by extension New Orleans, in order to grab Trevor Ariza’s last productive years as a starter at four years, and $32 million. The Celtics have an abundance of room to take on contracts, a ton of picks potentially up to 10 first rounders over the next four years, a superstar, Rondo, who plays the same position as their first-round pick this season, Marcus Smart.
