Slumping Anthony Recker hit a tiebreaking, three-run homer, Jonathon Niese pitched seven sharp innings and the New York Mets beat the Philadelphia Phillies 5-3 Monday. But in the top of the seventh, Anthony Recker mashed his fourth home run of the season, a three-run shot that put the Mets up for good as they won, 5-3, and clinched the four-game series. Niese was also helped in the bottom of the seventh by center fielder Juan Lagares, who threw out the Phillies' Domonic Brown at home plate. "It was a judgment call," said Phillies manager Ryan Sandberg of sending Brown. Daniel Murphy led off the fourth with a double to right and David Wright followed with an RBI single up the middle to give the Mets a 1-0 lead. "I'll take a win like this anytime with what I've been through this year, spending time on the disabled list and all."
